Some of my pottering plans for yesterday were disrupted by an unexpected invitation from my old friends the DrunkPeople, to see the Lord Mayor's Show fireworks over the Thames. Remembrance Day today, with Sunday falling on the 11th of November, so it's an exact anniversary. I heard the guns in Hyde Park that announce the 2-minute silence when I was out on the roof terrace taking in the tender plants for the winter.
